I listen to mostly anthing BUT heavy rock/opera/Tracy chapman.The best rock group must be Linkin Park .50 cents is the bomb.

I listen to (in order of preference) Linkin Park, Bullet for my Valentine, House (that is trance, techno, rave, everything) and some heavy metal songs (dont judge me fewls some of that shit is good)

nick :/ nick nick nick.....sigh! k let me give you in in depth lesson on why TECHNO ISNT HOUSE. k first of all there are 4 widely accepted categories of dance music.....being....House/Garage (irony ? i think not rofl) which includes all dance music orientated in Chicago around 1980. solid base, catchy riffs, hi hats, catchy tune and sample vocal. The sound then caught on in the UK and spread itself on mass in Europe eg. Blue in Holland which had an entirely different feel to the Digi White sound. The categories under house are: Garage, Deep House, Tech House, Tribal House, Disco House, Funky House, Two Step, Hard House and Speed Garage (jump style has almost been phased out entirely in the dance and house music scene). The next main category is Techno. Techno orientates from the industrial city of Detroit in America during the 80s. It was then developed further in Belgium Holland and Germany. It is generally a very hard industrial type of sound but can also be funky or slow and/or housy. Techno introduces sounds 1 at a time and its all normally over a heavy hard baseline. Most of techno is made using analog instruments and synths. Analog is favored over digital because it allows continual alteration of sound. Techno can be broken down into sub devisions such as slow, funky, hard and industrial. Techno mixing is best done on 3 decks. Then next main category is Break Beat with orientated in the UK in 1990. It is characterized by hyper syncopated beats. It has an off beat almost sub sonic kick drum. Jungle break beat draws some of its influence from regge rap and early hip hop. Break beat can be broken up into sub categories like breakbeat, big beat and drum & bass. The last main category of dance music is Trance. Trance came from the beaches of Goa and Ibiza during the early 90s. It was in response to the drug XTC. It was founded in these strange locations because countries such as Spain and India had banned these kinds of raves. Most other countries forms of trance are an alteration of the uplifting Ibiza trance. Trance follows the principals of developing sounds in a hallucinogenic pattern. The sub categories of trance are progressive house, trance house and psychedelic trance. Nick said you can ask any DJ that Trance is a form of House.....well i am a Dj....and as i have stated here.....i dont support that....also i am slightly offended by it because i am a trance DJ and i think house music is overrated and overplayed.
